Two of the Greatest Architectural accomplishments of ancient India were the cities of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro. These cities were very advanced for their time. Most of the houses were three stories and most had indoor plumbing. These are the first known places to have a sewer system. What makes it so amazing that these cities had running water 3500 years ago is the fact that some places don't even have it now. The reason that These places were so amazing was because of the fact that Ancient India had some of the best mathematicians in the world. They had these great mathematicians because of Takshila. It was the worlds first college. It was like most colleges today. There was a fee to go there and many subjects were taught. Below is a picture of the ruins of Takshila.
