Carpentry was a specialized job in Ancient India. Ancient Indians were the first to make bricks. They put soil, clay, and water together to make squishy mud and then pounded them into square shaped bricks. Another specialized job was blacksmithing. Blacksmiths made tools out of mostly flint, but they also came in copper and bronze. In Northern India a specialized job was farming. This was the main source of income for most people in Northern Ancient India. Being a Scribe was another specialized job of India. This was a specialized job because you had to be able to read and write and most people couldn't do that.
